摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a high-strength and corrosion-resisting titanium alloy having superior corrosion resistance and strength and excellent in corrosive wear characteristics and biocompatibility, by specifying a composition consisting of Al, Mo, and Ti. CONSTITUTION:A high-strength and corrosion-resisting titanium alloy has a composition consisting of, by weight, 3.0-6.0% Al, 1.5-5.0% Mo, and the balance Ti with inevitable impurities and further containing, if necessary, 2.0-6.0% Zr and also has superior corrosive wear characteristics, and this alloy is suitable for artificial joint for organism and general industrial purpose requiring sea-water corrosion resistance.
