STERILIZATION AND DISINFECTION TABLET CONTAINING CHLOROISOCYANURIC ACID

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled tablet suitable for a device to apply an agent using a drug cartridge or drug container, by using trichloroisocyanuric acid as an active component, uniformly mixing the component with a hydrophobic compound and a hydrophilic compound at a specific ratio and tableting the mixture. CONSTITUTION:The objective tablet having excellent compression moldability in tableting, storage stability in wet state and solubility in contact with water can be produced by uniformly mixing (A) trichloroisocyanuric acid, (B) adipic acid, benzoic acid or their mixture having hydrophobic property and (C) potassium sulfate, succinic acid or their mixture having hydrophilic nature at weight ratios of (90-60):(5-20):(5-20) and compression-molding the obtained mixture. The agent is suitable for a device to apply an agent using a drug cartridge or drug container to a sewage purifier, sewage tank, bathhouse, etc., especially in winter season. It can be smoothly compression molded without using or with remarkably decreased amount of boric acid as an excipient which may cause waste water pollution.
