INSTRUMENT FOR DETECTING UPPER HEAT IN MOLTEN STEEL IN SECONDARY REFINING FURNACE

PURPOSE:To surely detect upper heat condition in molten steel at real time and to prevent damage of a ladle by arranging plural temp. measuring means, etc., on circumferential face part at the molten steel surface level in the ladle and analyzing pattern of the measured temp. CONSTITUTION:An upper heat detecting instrument for the molten steel in the secondary refining furnace (ladle refining process) is composed of the temp. measuring means 7b-7e, analizing means 14 for analyzing temp. distributing pattern measured with the above measuring means and an alarming means 15. The temp. measuring means 7b-7e measure the temp. distributing pattern at the molten steel surface in the ladle 1 in the secondary refining furnace. Further, the alarming means 15 sounds the alarm at the time of predicting that the molten steel surface is coming to the upper heat condition, with the analyzing means 14.
