CONSTITUTION:The title preventive and remedy comprising Galla rhois, a gall mainly produced on leaves Rhus javanica Linne by bite of Melaphis chinensis J. Bell, containing components of 50-58% tannin, small amounts of gallic acid, fats, resin, etc., as an active ingredient. Galla rhosis is administered in the form of raw powder, essence extracted with an organic solvent or water or an active ingredient of Galla rhois obtained from the essence and a dose thereof is 0.001mg-100g calculated as weight of raw powder per kg weight daily.
