PREVENTIVE AND REMEDY FOR INFECTIOUS DISEASE OF CAMPYLOBACTER JEJUNI OF MAMMALS

PURPOSE:To obtain the title preventive and remedy having no problems of occurrence of resistant bacteria and side effects and no fear of influence of remaining agent on human body, comprising a crude drug such as rhizome of Coptis japonica Makino, bark of Phellodendron amurense Ruprecht or rhizome of Anemanhena asphodeloides Bunge as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION:The title preventive and remedy comprising a crude drug selected from the group consisting of rhizome of Coptis japonica Makino (obtained by burning and removing thin rootlet from rhizome of Coptis japonica Makino), bark of Phellodendron amurense Ruprecht (obtained by removing cork, layer from bark of Phellodendron amurense Ruprecht), rhizome of Anemanhena asphodeloides Bunge, stems and leaves of Isodon japonica Hara and a gall produced on leaves Rhus javanica Linne by bite of Melaphis chinensis J. Bell as an active ingredient. The crude drug is administered in the form of raw powder, essence extracted with an organic solvent or water or an active ingredient of Galla rhois obtained from the essence and a dose thereof is 0.001mg-100g calculated as weight of raw powder per kg weight daily.
