PURPOSE:To measure a trace gas accurately, by supplying an alkaline absorption liquid having an acid gas absorbed to a removal column to feed the liquid to a concentration column after the removal of an alkali component in the absorption liquid. CONSTITUTION:An atmospheric air 7 is introduced into an absorption bottle of a gas absorbing device 9 to absorb an acid gas in the atmospheric air by an alkaline absorption liquid in the absorption bottle. Then, valves 27, 20, 21, 29 and 30 are switched and an absorption liquid is supplied to a removal column 4 and returned to a sample line 10 after the removal of an alkali component with a cation exchange resin in the column 4. Moreover, a valve 13 is switched to supply the absorption liquid to a concentration column 2. Subsequently, the valve 13 is switched, an eluate from an eluate tank 18 is sent to a column 2 to elute an acid gas component concentrated in the column 2.
