PURPOSE:To print a writing brush character of top cover of a thin strip attached to a gift in good balance by selecting the variable magnification of each character of character row on the basis of the ratio of the area of a pattern for forming the character to the area of character region. CONSTITUTION:Since there are several types of profiles 2 of thin strips attached to a gift in response to utilities, the sizes of vertical and lateral sizes are, for example, input from a keyboard to be designated to form the profile 2 of the thin strips on a screen 1. Then, the sizes of the vertical and lateral sides are similarly input from the keyboard to be designated to form a top cover segment region 3 in the profile 2 of the thin strips attached to the gift, and so magnified as to contain, for example, a top cover segment 4 of 'congratulation to 99th birthday' in the region 3. However, since the words of the 'congratulation to 99th birthday' are filled one by one in predeterminad regions, if they are variably magnified and aligned as they are, they are aligned like typographical characters to be far from a writing brush image. Accordingly, the white background area is compared with white background area determined in advance as a reference for each character, and so magnified as to obtain proper balance when they are aligned as character row, and realigned.
