METHOD FOR CONTROLLING OPERATION OF SPRAY DRIER AT LOW COST

PURPOSE:To obtain the performance and operation of a spray drier at a low cost while minimizing use of an expensive fluid sensor by efficiently sharing the function between a personal computer and a programmable controller. CONSTITUTION:A raw liq. is sprayed into a high-temp. tank, and dried into powder. In this case, the function is shared between the personal computer and the programmable controller. Namely, the hot air amt., raw liq. amt., warm air amt., etc., are controlled by the personal computer, and the product collection, cleaning of the drier, detection of abnormality, etc., are dealt with by the programmable controller. As a result, the function is efficiently shared between the personal computer and programmable controller, use of an expensive fluid sensor is minimized, and the performance and operation of the drier can be controlled at a low cost.
