SHIELDING EARTH CONNECTION STRUCTURE FOR SIGNAL CABLE

PURPOSE:To separate a signal earth and shielding earth of a signal cable with a simple construction by partly removing a sheath of the signal cable to bring a conductive shielding part into contact with a cable fixing slit provided in a cable duct and fix the same to the slit. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of electronic circuit packages 14 and a backboard 18 are mounted in a shelf 16 after respective connectors thereof are connected. A cable duct 20 provided on the front of the shelf 16 is earthened. The cable duct 20 comprises a U-shaped groove member 20a and a upper cover 20b. A signal cable 28 is housed in the cable duct 20, and a sheath 30 of the signal cable 28 branching to a connector 22 is partly removed to expose a braided wire 32 being a conductive shielding part. The part of the braided wire 32 is forcedly inserted into the fixed slit 26 provided in the upper cover 20b of the cable duct 20 and brought into contact with the same for fixation thereof, and a shielding earth of the signal cable 28 is connected to a frame earth.
