SYSTEM FOR PREVENTING COLLISION OF INTER-PROCESSOR COMMUNICATION

PURPOSE:To improve processing capability and to simplify control, by performing alternately the transmission request for preventing the collision of transmission request, in a control system of half-duplex communication between processors in a system comprising plural processors. CONSTITUTION:Two processors 1, 2 are connected via channels 3, 4 and inter- channel communication adaptors CCA5, 6. The processors 1, 2 perform alternately the transmission request. When the transmission request of both the processors 1, 2 collides with each other, case (B), the processor 2 having the right of transmission makes transmission with priority and the processor 1 having no right performs waiting and makes transmission when the right of transmission is given next. When no transmission request exists in the processor 2 having the right of transmission, case (C), the temporary stop of communication is prevented by transmitting a dummy data, and transferring the right of transmission to the opposite processor 1.
