WATER-SEALING TYPE BASE-ROCK UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK

PURPOSE:To reduce the loss of storing liquid by spreading an isolating member on the inner face of an underground storage tank, hookedly holding the isolating member, and reducing the contact between the storing liquid and water-sealing water. CONSTITUTION:Flat-plate type thin plates 3 of metal or a non-combustible material which are isolating members are provided on the inner faces of the side walls and ceiling of a base-rock underground storage tank. The end parts of the thin plate 3 are foldingly overlapped and hooked by means of rock bolts 2 on a base rock 1. Underground water entering from the whole peripheral walls passes through the gap between the thin plates 3 and the base rock 1, flows out to the lower part of the storage tank, and is collected on the bottom part. Accordingly, the contact between the storing liquid and water-sealing water is made only on the bottom part of the base-rock storage tank, reducing the case of the storing liquid to be mixed with the water-sealing water, also reducing the loss of the storing liquid.
