FILTER FOR REMOVING NON-METALLIC INCLUSION IN MOLTEN STEEL

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain sufficient durability and to improve removal efficiency of inclusion by containing the specific quantity of calcium oxide and the balance substantially alumina in the material of skeleton of a filter. CONSTITUTION:The filter for removing non-metallic inclusion in molten steel is composed of three dimensional network ceramic structural body having communicating space to be possible to flow molten steel. Then, the material of the skeleton contains 5-35wt.% calcium oxide and the balance substantially alumina. By this construction, the filter for removing the non-metallic inclusion having sufficient durability at the time of using it in the high temp. molten steel and sticking the non-metallic inclusion at high efficiency is obtd.
