METHOD FOR REMOVING NON-METALLIC INCLUSION IN MOLTEN STEEL WITH REFRACTORY FILTER

PURPOSE:To efficiently catch and remove non-metallic inclusion by rotation- stirring the non-metallic inclusion in molten steel with a refractory filter while restraining the development of circulating flow in the vertical direction. CONSTITUTION:The bar bristling type refractory filter 13 having the structure bristling many bar-like refractories 12 for filter in the vertical direction between the upper and the lower fixed disks 10, 11, is dipped into the molten steel 4 in a tundish 3. This refractory filter 13 is rotated by using a rotating drive device 6 while restraining the formation of the circulating flow in the vertical direction to promote the catching of the non-metallic inclusion.
