PURPOSE:To properly satisfy requests from respective parts of a robot by forming area memories for respective modules including a peripheral control unit in a central control unit, successively storing originating module names, the contents of messages, etc., in these area memories and transmitting the contents of the message to a terminating module in accordance with a queue. CONSTITUTION:The central processing unit (CPU) 30 is provided with a communication management program module 37 including queue memories 39 for respective modules 16-20, 31-36 and originating module names, the contents of messages, etc., are successively stored in the corresponding areas by means of a queue system based on terminating module names obtained from respective modules. The contents of messages or the like are transmitted to the terminating modules in accordance with the queue or necessary information is received from the terminating modules and stored. The module 37 is provided with a program indicating the connecting and accessing methods of the terminating modules to omit the necessity for respective modules 16-20, 31-36 to consider the physical formats of the terminating modules.
