METHOD FOR DISSOLVING FROZEN SERUM AND METHOD FOR PRESERVING LIQUID SERUM

PURPOSE:To adjust the pH of redissolved serum to a desired value by dissolving the freeze-dried serum with water contg. carbon dioxide at the time of dissolving said serum. CONSTITUTION:Gas of 25% CO2/N2 is bubbled in water at about 25 deg.C room temp. and this water is filled into a container 1 after saturation is attained. The gas of 25% CO2/N2 is then sealed into the space of the container 1. The pH of the freeze-dried serum can be adjusted to about 7.6pH if the carbon dioxide-contg. water 2 prepd. in such a manner is added to the serum to dissolve the serum. The serum of various values of pH is obtd. if the concn. of the gas is adjusted. The change in the pH of the serum during preservation is prevented by putting the liquid serum into a container consisting of polyethylene or polypropyrene or glass bottle and putting this container into a carbon dioxide shielding type bag.
