TURNOUT CONTROLLER FOR LINEAR MOTOR CONVEYOR

PURPOSE:To perform a high speed conveyance by switching, when a linear motor conveyor has passed a turnout device, said turnout device in the direction of passing of the next conveyor. CONSTITUTION:A linear motor conveyor controller 16 gives a velocity command to a stator driver 13 and a switching command for the turnout device 17 of a conveyor path 11 to a turnout driver 18. The whole conveyor system is controlled by a system controller 20. Hereupon when a passage detector 21 detects that a conveyor 14 has run and passed said turnout device 17, the turnout device 17 is switched to the direction of passing of said conveyor 14 in the next conveyance. Thus, conveyance can be performed in a short time also in case of a conveyance requiring turning of the turnout device.
