CAR-BODY INCLINATION CONTROLLER FOR MOTORCYCLE AT TIME OF STOPPAGE OF CAR BODY

PURPOSE: To always hold a car body in a suitable tilting state during parking by providing an expansible side stand, and controlling the amount of expansion and contraction according to the result of detecting the tilting angle of the car body during parking. CONSTITUTION: A side stand 2 of a motorcycle is supported in such a manner as to freely rotate on a bracket 35 fixed to a down tube 23 forming the car body frame by a support shaft 36. This side stand 2 is formed to be expanded and contracted by an outer tube 30, an inner tube 32, and an overhang spring 33 for energiging the inner tube 32 downward. A slide arm 41 of an expansion and contraction operating mechanism 1 is fixed to the outer tube 30, and elevated by rotating a screw mechanism 43 by a driving motor 9. The driving motor 9 is controlled to drive according to the output of a tilting angle detector for detecting the tilting angle of the car body leant against the stand by erecting the side stand 2.
