A sound quality characteristic readout means 7 reads the sound quality characteristic data from the 2nd storage means 6 in response to the sound quality state data from the sound state detection means 4 and a sound quality characteristic variable means 8 varies the sound quality in response to the sound quality characteristic data. Thus, the aural sense correction to the sound quality set before is attained automatically at the sound volume by having only to set the sound quality to a preferred quality depending on the sound volume.
