FLEXIBILIZING PROCESSING AND WRINKLING PROCESSING FOR ARTIFICIAL LEATHERS AND MACHINE DEVICE THEREFOR

PURPOSE:To obtain flexible wrinkled processed leather not to be restored to the original form by change with time, by immersing artificial leather in water or a solution containing a flexibilizing agent or exposing to steam and then subjecting the leather to continuous mechanical rubbing processing. CONSTITUTION:Artificial leather L is continuously unwound from a winding roll 30, the leather is successively passed through a device T charged with warm water at about 70 deg.C, flexibilized, water attached to the surface of the leather is removed by a vacuum suction roll V, the leather is dried by a hot-air dryer D1, passed through an accumulator A and sent to a rubbing machine F. Then the leather is transferred while being formed by a pair of forming and transporting rolls 1, oscillated by using a rubbing roll 3 as a center roll and bringing rubbing rolls 2 and 4 into contact with the roll 3, mechanically subjected to grasping and rubbing processing to form deep and sharp wrinkles, taken up by forming and transporting rolls 1, dried, continuously wound by a winder 31 to give flexible wrinkled processed artificial leather.
