PURPOSE:To obtain the title plant, consisting of one grain strain wheat and having glutinous seed albumen starch and unique favor, taste, uses, etc. CONSTITUTION:Seeds of one grain strain wheat Triticum monococcum are treated with an alkyl alkylsulfonate to artificially induce mutation. The above- mentioned seeds are then germinated and grown to harvest seeds having glutinous seed albumen starch from the grown hill. Amylose in the starch grains in the afore-mentioned seeds is readily soluble in hot water without requiring separation and removal and amylopectin is capable of readily forming a paste. The once formed paste is stable with hardly any aging and suitable for frozen food, etc.
