The sustained effect of increased biological activity equates to the physico-chemical stabilization that diminishes with the slow degradation and release of nitrogen. The chemical melioration agent used is a combination of an unmodified urea-formaldehyde condensate with a faster plant-available nitrogen compound, in particular urea-ammonium nitrate solution.
