Seed or bulb sowing mechanism - has screw protruding from supply funnel, feeding seed to front mounted sowing implement

Sowing mechanism consists of helical screw (4) protruding from bottom of seed supply funnel (1). Attached to bottom of two-wheeled supply funnel is a furrow digging sow feet (8) with upstanding side walls (11). Funnel shaped supply reservoir may be self propelled or tractor drawn, in direction off arrow (3). Helical feed screw mounted inside the reservoir has guide strips (6) mounted on either side, whilst cover plate (5) is fitted inside the reservoir preventing damage to the seeds. Broad parts of guide strips (6) have attached partition plats of triangular shape, which serve as dosing implements. Sow feet (8) which rests on soil (9) is wedge shaped to draw a seed furrow.
