Worktable for plant propagation operations - supplies new sterile work surface for each operation

When plant propagation operations, such as cloning, are being carried out it is essential that the material is not contaminated by the remains of a previous operation. The present work table provides a continuous supply of clean work surface, thus avoiding the need for rigorous cleaning between operations. The clean work surface is a sheet of polythene, paper or other thin material, which is drawn from a reel (23). The reel is mounted in a housing (6) under the table and the material emerges through a slot (3), passes over the work surface and is drawn through another slot (4) by rollers (13,14). The rollers are driven by an electric motor (22) which is controlled by a foot switch (26). The used material falls into a waste bin (7).
