Obesity treatment and lowering of insulin levels

The use of the following cpds. for treatment of obesity and for lowering blood insulin levels is new. (1) Thromboxane-synthesis inhibiting cpds. of formulae (I)-(IV). (R is H, NO2 or 2-4 C alkenyl; R1 is H, 1-11C alkyl, acyl, aryl, substd. aryl, aralkyl or indol-3-yl-(1-4C alkyl); R2 is H, 1-4C alkyl, aralkyl, 3-indolyl, 2-(1-4C alkyl)-3-indolyl, aryl, substd. aryl or 2-hydroxy-1-naphthyl methylene hydrazino; R3 is arylthio or alkoxy-oxalylmethyl; R4 is COOH or 1-4C alkyl; R5 is 1-4C alkyl; R6 is substd. aryl or substd. benzoyl; R7 is 1-4C (2) Salts of (I)-(III) with pharmaceutically utilizable acids. (3) The thromboxane-synthesis inhibiting cpds. 3-(5-tetrazolyl) thioxanthen-9-one 10,10-dioxide, 3,5-pyrazolidine dione, 1-isopropyl 7-methyl 4-phenyl-2(1H)-quinazolinone and 7-isopropoxy 9-oxo xanthene-2 carboxylic acid.
