Process for regulating blood temperature in a patient undergoing cardiac surgery, of the type which comprises an extracorporeal closed water circuit which modifies the temperature of a second extracorporeal closed blood circuit, on the basis of the central unit which, via two probes placed in the patient, monitors the latter's temperature, regulating the temperature of the water circuit as a function of the temperature in the blood circuit within pre-established parameters and in compliance with a preset maximum gradient.
