METHOD FOR IMPROVING THE LEAF DRESSING OF USEFUL AND ORNAMENTAL PLANTS IN GREENHOUSES, OUTDOORS OR IN SOIL CULTIVATION

ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREThere is provided a method for improving the leafdressing applied by spraying or aerosolizing, in the case ofwhich CO2 gas is added to an aqueous solution enriched withnutrients, herbicides or pesticides or to the water used forthe preparation of this solution up to such content which islower or only slightly higher than the natural absorbingcapacity of water for CO2 at ambient temperature. Anyincrustations in the nozzle and water conveying systems isthus excluded, the nutrient salt take-up of the leaves isincreased, CO2 is supplied to the stomata of the plants indosed quantities, with losses in CO2 being extraordinarilyslight and with the salinization and concentration of thesoil being simultaneously counteracted. Spotting or poreclogging by precipitation or crystallization is avoided,with the germ inhibitory effect of the carbonic acid and theresistance of the plants against infestation being incre-sed. Owing to the fact that technical CO2, gained fromexhaust gases of industrial plants and power plants, isemployed, the method can be also economically applied in thegeneral fertilization in agriculture.
