In a device (1) for accommodating and displaying compact discs (CD) packed in flat blister packs (2), the blister packs (2) have relatively thin extensions (8) below the discs (3) by means of which they can be inserted in an essentially upright position in slots (7) in a supporting base (5, 5a, 5b), a preferably closed accommodation space (10) being provided below said base. When positioned in the slots, the blister packs (2) are supported by the transition from the thinner extension (8) to the thicker region (a) where the CD (3) is held at the edge of the slots (7). Preferably several adjacent rows of slots (7) aligned one behind the other are provided in the base, and along each row of slots (7) at least one bar (16), for example of flat steel, perpendicular to the direction of the rows and which can be slid from a rest position next to the blister packs (2) to a locking position in which it engages with lateral slots in the blister packs (2), is provided.
