PROCESS FOR INTRAMOLECULAR OXIDATION OF TWO -SH GROUPS IN A PEPTIDE COMPOUND TO A DISULPHIDE BRIDGE, AND PEPTIDE SO OBTAINED

In the process described, at least one oxidant bound to a solid phase and capable of oxidizing -SH groups to disulphide bridges is added to water with stirring, an aqueous solution of the peptide compound to be oxidized is added drop by drop, the reactants are allowed to react while stirring, and the raw peptide compound containing a sulphide bridge is processed. Surprisingly, practically none of the products obtained by this process would suggest that an intermolecular reaction is involved.
