Process for preparing articles by powder metallurgy, and articles obtained thereby

The method consists mainly in: a - the production of an electrically conducting positive mould of the article to be obtained in a low melting point material; b - the deposition of a layer of metal on the positive mould by electrolysis to make a hollow negative mould (1) of the article; c - the removal (by melting) of the low melting point positive mould from the negative mould (1); d - filling the negative mould (1) with a metal powder (2), raising the density of the metal powder and outgassing it; e - closing the filled negative mould (1) under vacuum; f - carrying out a hot isostatic compression of the filled negative mould (1) by means of a compression fluid; g - removal of the filled negative mould (1) from the isostatic press (3) and removal of the negative mould (1) from the article obtained in this way.
