APPARATUS FOR SUPPORTING AND MOVING TOOLS FOR FIXING A CLUSTER OF TUVES TO A TUBULAR PLATE OF A STEAM GENERATOR

The steam generator of a pressurised water nuclear reactor has a bundle of tubes mounted in a header plate. The holes in the header plate have to be cleaned, the tubes inserted, then expanded and welded. The tools for carrying out these operations are mounted on a support. This support has a tool holder which can be moved vertically on a column. The column is mounted on a base which can move at right angles to the axis of the tube being fitted. This base runs on a carriage which runs on rails parallel to the tube axis.
