The workpiece is mounted on a machine tool by a clamping table (14) which is detachably fastened to a support beam (12). The support beam (12) has a longitudinal groove (16) in its upper surface and near to one edge. This groove receives the overhanging lips (30) of the clamping table (14). The clamping table (14) has a vertical rib (32) which abuts against the side of the support beam. An adjusting screw (40,42) enables the height of each end of the clamping table to be adjusted relative to the support beam (12). A third adjusting screw (46) at the mid point of the lower edge of the vertical rib adjusts the angular position of the surface of the clamping table about a longitudinal axis. USE - Machine tools.
