Between each ring pipe (130 to 136) and each hydraulic cylinder (118) is arranged in each case a control valve (140, 142, 144, 146), mechanically actuated via a control ring (154), which control valve is moved together with the hydraulic cylinders (118) and the ring pipes (130 to 136). Stationary, but individually positionable operating fingers (156) actuate the operating elements of the control valves at the desired positions when the sludge chamber space passes through the high-pressure dewatering zone.
