Process and plant for the production of tread strips consisting of more than one rubber component for treads of car tires

A process and a calender system are disclosed for producing tyre profiles of car tyres composed of more than one rubber component, in which the individual rubber profiled strips composed of various mixtures are extruded by means of profile heads having corresponding mouthpieces onto a rotating roll. Each profile component strip is produced individually on a calender, trimmed at the edges on the respective roll of the calender and the edge-trimmed profile component strips are subsequently laminated together to form a finished profiled strip in the nips formed by the individual rolls of the calenders.
