The invention relates to a throttle device for quantities of water running out of a build-up space having an outflow orifice. Guided in front of the outflow orifice is a slide plate, to which a float lever having a float is connected. The slide plate is designed so that the outflowing quantity of water is constant. The float lever is arranged in the outflow direction and orthogonally to the slide plate and acts on the slide plate, with transmission members being interposed.
