In this device, a crank pin (3) connected axially to a rotary piston (5) is guided on a trochoidal path in conformity with the trochoidal inner wall of the housing (6). On the other hand, the crank pin (3) moves radially in a long hole made in the crank arm (1) of a crank mechanism (1, 2), and thereby transmits the piston force in a more advantageous form and with greater conversion efficiency than a conventional rigid crankshaft, since the lever arm increases in a specific range of angle of rotation, and therefore increases the transmitted torque, and decreases in another range of angle of rotation, so as not to increase the piston stroke in conformity with the maximum lever arm, but effect it in conformity with the minimum lever arm.
