Protective barrier for plants against damage caused by wild animals

There is described a protective barrier for plants against damage caused by rodents and slugs, the barrier being composed of cardboard pieces in a variety of shapes which are threaded and soaked with a saturated solution of potassium fertiliser salts in beechwood oil.
