The invention relates to a keel having wings arranged on both sides, in particular for ocean-going sailing yachts, but also for other wind-driven and motor-driven sea-going vessels. Each wing is constructed by means of slots extending up to the wing rim as a slotted wing bundle consisting of slotted wings. The slotted wings are arranged relative to one another in such a way that the overpressure-side leading edges of the slotted wings succeeding one another in the incoming-flow (approach-flow, inflow) direction are constructed horizontally offset with respect to the underpressure-side trailing edges of the respectively preceding slotted wings in the incoming-flow direction. Furthermore, the slots are constructed in the shape of nozzles and with a flow direction extending from the overpressure zone to the underpressure zone. It is essential that the slotted wings are located inside the profile envelopes prescribed by the wing root of the slotted wing bundle.
