A screwdriver, in particular for bone screws, is so designed that it permits the reception, screwing-in and tightening of the screw in one operation. Receiving slots in the screw make it possible to use prong-like grippers which are rigidly connected to the front end of the clamping sleeve and on rotation of the clamping sleeve securely fix the screw by gripping behind and additional clamping.
