At least one further reference point is positioned on a measurement point. The position of the reference points on the reference element relative to one another as well as relative to the position of the further reference point is detected optically, and from this the position of the further reference point, and thus the position of the measurement point and/or of a part of the body exhibiting said measurement point is determined, preferably with the aid of a computer.
