A device is described for actuating the shutter blade of a camera shutter driven by a motor. An electric reversing motor is provided which can be rotated either in the forward direction or in the opposite direction by means of a control signal from an electronic circuit. At least one gear is driven by the motor. On the side of the shutter opening which is opposite the gear pins (pegs) are mounted. The blades have teeth which mesh with the gear, and are rotated either in the forward direction or in the opposite direction about the pin for limiting an opening.
