The invention relates to a whirlpool bathtub or the like, having an outflow device and having a piping system intended for subjecting at least one nozzle to the influence of air and/or water, this piping system being connected to the outflow aperture of the bathtub via a connecting valve and a section of piping, which section of piping is connected at the other end to the outflow line via an outflow valve. In order that both the cleaning system and the piping section can remain completely full of cleaning fluid between uses of the bathtub, provision is made according to the invention for the outflow valve to be arranged at the upper end of a standpipe which leads into the outflow line in the region of the outflow aperture of the bathtub, for the standpipe to be arranged in a chamber from which the piping section branches off, and for the outflow aperture of the bathtub, apart from the outflow valve, to open into the chamber.
