Device for indicating the angular deviation formed by the route direction of an aircraft or ship and the longitudinal access of same. It consists, in its principle, of the towing by the ship or aircraft of an object (line or protuberance), whose point of towing attachment allows free circular displacement over the arc portion useful to the maximum required measurements. The angular deviation indication is provided by the twisting of the object, which can also be transmitted by means of a rod or semi-rigid wire running through a sheath. The juxtaposition of an angle measurer with the displacing object or with its transmission means allows the angular displacement to be measured. The method and the devices according to the invention are in particular intended as navigational aids for aircraft and ships.
