A water-based insecticidal aerosol of the single-layer liquid type comprises: 1. a base aerosol liquid containing at least one particular pyrethroid compound, a particular organic solvent and a buffer solution, the base liquid having a pH of 7.0 to 9.0 and 2. of dimethyl ether as a propellant. /P P The aerosol thus obtained has long-term storage stability as well as excellent insecticidal activity and does not degrade the container.
