The invention relates to the synthesis of metal salts of weak acids and in particular of indium formate. /P P It proposes a process in which the anodic oxidation of the metal is carried out under the effect of the electric current in a cell filled with an electrolytic bath containing weak acid of which one wants to manufacture the salt, having at least its (or its) anode (s) made up (s) of metal of which one wants to manufacture the salt. The salt is available in suspension in the electrolytic bath. /P P The invention also provides an electrosynthesis cell, as well as synthesized products with particular morphology. /P P The invention is applies to the synthesis of indium formate in particular for pyrolyzing it on glass with a view to forming thin layers therein.
