Portable hearth with hinged fireback for grilling food - is fixed to back of tank supporting grate with grill supported by fireback and side plates

The hearth has a tank (1) whose sides (3) and back (4) are extended by turned up edges (5). A metal plate, forming the fireback, is articulated on the back edge. Its lateral edges (10) are bent round (11) and side plates (13) are articulated on these. The plate's lower edges hold the removable grate (16). Rods (20,22) with notches in them are fixed to the side and back plates to hold the grill (19) at different heights. When the hearth is folded the grate and grill are put inside the tank and a flap (25), on top (24) of the fireback, closes the tank's open front (27). USE/ADVANTAGE - The hearth is for grilling food and is transportable.
