The restraint has a base plate (1) and surface plate (2) secured together by gluing etc. The lower face of the surface plate includes four cut-out portions which form passages when combined with the base plate. Two of the passages (7) receive restraining straps which are fixed relative to the plates, and the other two (8) are wider than the straps they receive to allow adjustment. The upper face of the surface plate has two protruding portions (3,4) forming a cavity between them to receive a radiographic film cassette. USE/ADVANTAGE - Restrains infant in position, allowing radiographer to work singly.
