摘要
The subject of the invention is implantable electrode devices in the cochlea for electrically stimulating the auditory nerve. An electrode holder according to the invention comprises a body 6 made of a flexible material and biocompatible, for example silicone. It comprises electrodes 11 made of a conductive metal, for example platinum, at least a portion of which is apparent and matches the contour of the body 6 and a part of which is embedded therein. Each electrode is connected to a conductor embedded in the body 6 which connects the electrode to a receiver head implanted under the skin. The body 6 is divided into successive sections by slots 12 which extend over a portion of the cross section and which create hinge hinges, so that the electrode holder easily marries the curvature of the cochlea. / P P An application is the correction of total deafness. / P
