摘要

PURPOSE: To keep only the necessary portion for operating a travelling wave tube in a vacuum condition by integrally brazing a vacuum tight window formed of microwave transmissive ceramic material to a cylindrical chamber, in which a delay line is built in a coaxial relationship. CONSTITUTION: A vacuum tight window for a microwave tube is formed of microwave transmissive ceramic material. It has a hollow cylinder 21, to which metal flexible rings 22, 23 are brazed at both ends. A high frequency input for a coaxial line 24 is provided at the end on the electron beam source side of a travelling wave delay line with two windows and a high frequency output for a wave guide 25 is provided at the end on the collector side. The flexible ring 22 and the flexible ring 23 are integrally brazed to a helix chamber 4 and an electron beam assembly 26 or a collector assembly 27 in a coaxial relationship, respectively. In this way, a vacuum which is limited into a space formed by an electron beam source, the inside of the chamber 4 and a collector is easily provided.
