PURPOSE:To improve the response of compensation torque by differentiating the output signal of a speed pattern generator and finding rotational angular acceleration which is a source signal for inertia compensation, and outputting the rotational angular acceleration before actual rotational angular acceleration by the response delay of a driving-side speed controller. CONSTITUTION:The electric inertia compensation controller for the driving testing machine equipped with an absorption-side motor 6 to which a driving prime mover 1 is coupled through an output shaft 3 equipped with a torque pickup 5, and a device which generates inertia compensating torque is constituted. Namely, the rotational angular acceleration which is the source signal for inertial compensation is found by differentiating the output signal of the speed pattern generator 108 by a differential computing element 109. Then its output signal is outputted before the actual rotational angular acceleration by the response delay of driving-side speed controllers 103 and 104 to eliminate the influence of the detection delay of the rotational angular acceleration. Consequently, high-response, high-range inertia compensation for the response of the compensation torque is performed.
