PIPING REPAIR METHOD FOR REPLACING OLD PIPE CONNECTION WITH NEW PIPE CONNECTION

PURPOSE:To easily perform work by fitting an expansion pipe having a stopper flange into an opening end at the cut part of an old pipe, having a suitable joint pipe fitted to the cut part of the old pipe and press spreading the expansion pipe outward so as to have the joint pipe closely stuck the opening end of the old pipe. CONSTITUTION:An expansion pipe 2, having a stopper flange 3, is fitted to an opening end 1' in the cut part of an old pipe 1 set with the expansion pipe 2 to a turn-stop condition, and a suitable joint pipe 6 is fitted to the cut part of the old pipe 1 and clamped by split dies 14, 14' stored in tightenable split-type receiving tools 13, 13'. Next a pipe expander (a) is inserted into the expansion pipe 2 press spread to the outside, fixing the joint pipe 6 to closely adhere to the opening end 1' of the old pipe 1. By this joint pipe 6 connecting a valve and a union or the like, work is performed such as stopping water and connecting a new pipe. In this method, since soldering is no required, the work can be easily performed even in a narrow place.
